I went into my kitchen to bake a cake one day, and I got out a mix. I read the list of needed ingredients.

1 1/3 cups water, 1/3 cup oil, and 3 large eggs. Check, check, and check. I live at high altitude, though, so before I started, I read the fine print at the bottom that told me how to adjust the recipe for elevation.

"MIX AS DIRECTED ABOVE EXCEPT USING 1 1/3 CUPS WATER, 1/3 CUP OIL, AND 3 EGGS." I looked back at the ingredients up top to see the difference.
These people have a funny definition of the word "except."
